We can’t believe the summer is already winding down… and what an awesome summer it’s been for Plan 9! The shows up at the Naked Turtle reminded us of how the trip is totally worth it… what an awesome crowd in Plattsburgh! And our last few shows at the Saratoga City Tavern have held up with Plan 9 knowing that our home crowd never disappoints! And we’ll never forget coming back to Savannah’s in Albany for one last show, and having the legendary sit-in performance from Coolio and Blake Lewis!
Yes, Plan 9’s last show is happening this weekend at the City Tavern, and what a mix of emotions for the band! We are sad to see the Plan 9-party machine come to a stop… we will miss all the supporters throughout the entire span of the band’s existence and can’t express how much we appreciate all the support of our friends, families, the venues and bars, and the fans we’ve picked up along the way.
But with how awesome this summer’s been so far, we can’t wait to rock Caroline Street one more time this August! The Saratoga crowd has just been sick this summer, and Plan 9 knows how much you guys love to rock… As we promised, Plan 9 is showing it’s “Better to burn out, than to fade away”, and our final performance is going to be the biggest party ever to hit the Saratoga City Tavern leaving all in our path to always remember: PLAN 9 ROCKS!!!

What an insane party last weekend!!! Plan 9 celebrated their ‘Farewell to Albany show’ at Savannah’s… paying tribute to the bar we started out at, while wishing our friends luck as the new owners of what promises to be the hottest club in downtown Albany.
Because the Fly92 SummerJam was earlier in the day, some of the performers from that concert came downtown to Savannah’s that night to party! While Plan 9 was playing our version of “Gin and Juice”, no other than Coolio – that’s right, “Gangsta Paradise” Coolio – and Blake Lewis from American Idol joined us on stage for an extended jam! Blake showcased his sick beat-boxing skills while Coolio and crew busted out sick rhymes over house band of the night, Plan 9!
What an awesome way to party out that night in Albany! PLAN 9 ANNOUNCES SUMMER “FAREWELL” TOUR
After several great years of rocking up the capital region bar circuit, with their high energy show of covering all the favorite songs you want to dance to, Plan 9 – “Albany’s party rock sensation!” – will be taking an extended hiatus at the end of this upcoming summer.
To celebrate the party that Plan 9 brings to every show and the party-going crowds that make it happen, the band announces the following appearances leading up to their end-of-summer blow-out (click here for shows).
We’ll be hitting some of our favorite summer-time venues on the way, finishing off with three special shows: the “Better to Burn Out, Than to Fade Away” Saratoga Send-Off! Don’t miss these themed performances with our friends at the Saratoga City Tavern.
Yes, we’re sure the guys will be sad to see the party end (?!?), but the band thanks everyone that’s supported Plan 9 throughout and are looking forward to partying with you all summer long. And, we hope to see you at the reunion tour…? :)

Oh yes... Plan 9 can almost taste the sounds of summer coming soon!!! There will be a major announcement from the band about our where-abouts for partying til the sun comes up during the sunny months to come!

Rockin' up the charts! Well, the bars at least...
This year 2008 has been kick ass for Plan 9, and is only getting better!
A special shout has to go out to our friends at the Saratoga City Tavern... every time we rock this place, the crowds from Caroline Street just seem to party harder and harder. New Years Eve was a blast, so was the next show, and the show after that (St. Patty's Day!!!) is gonna be awesome! Check some past pics here.
And how bout that Glens Falls crowd? This town knows how to rock, especially at Hotshots. These guys have one of the best sound and light shows we've played, and we're looking forward to rocking that stage for many months to come!
Plan 9 returns to Albany soon too! If you liked the old Noche, Jack Rabbit Slims is gonna blow you away with coolness. Check us out... We're gonna party like rockstars at this place. And we're back at Broadway Joe's in a couple weeks for ya too.
